Main goals:
• Ensure execution of projects (3-4) for sites assigned as per contract requirements and project guidelines in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Demonstrate absolute conformance in preparing system history reports on a daily basis accurately.
• Record all project activities accurately in the Resource Management System.

Requirements:
EDUCATION Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an internationally recognised University.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Knowledge & interest in Ground Water Control;

Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate execution of all operational works, for sites assigned, from handover through to project closure including mobilization, procurement, installation, commissioning, monitoring and demobilization.
• Upon project handover you will understand project requirements, contract and method statement and ensure execution of activities as per project specifications. Any variances are to be reported to the Line Manager prior to execution.
• For the sites assigned ensure following reports are generated (Picking Lists, Delivery Notes, Installation Reports, Start Reports, Damage Reports, Stop Reports, Site Progress and As Built Drawings, Manpower Records, Collection Notes, Site to Site Transfers;
• Provide the following reports to the Line Manager (Daily Activity Reports – Daily, System History Reports – Weekly, Timesheets, including overtime – Monthly, Generate ad hoc site reports as requested by the Line Manager;
• Diligently monitor works assigned for resources on site and establish efficient means to optimise utilization and minimize overtime and other costs;
• Participate in meetings with clients regarding project progression and performance on site, as and when required;
• Responsible for all action assets, resources and the utilization and allocation for these in an efficient and optimal manner;
• Serves as a single point of contact for all site operation related aspects for the Line Manager as well as the Operations team assigned;
• Support the Line Manager by providing technical, engineering, and practical judgment during initiation & through the project life cycle;
• Ensure compliance to all legal and regulatory laws including QHSE standards and reviews site conditions for safety and quality;
• Maintain good working relationship with all parties at all levels at all times when representing the Company, Sub-Contractors, Staff and third parties.
QHSE:
• Make a deliberate effort to gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company’s QHSE Policies and Procedures and adherence to the same;
• Ensure safety targets and a zero tolerances for unsafe working practices and conditions;
• Ensure that all requests to perform unsafe work practices that may result in damage to machinery, people or property are declined;
• Notify the Safety Officer regarding any unsafe or potentially hazardous situations on site;
• Prior to the commencement of site works, gain an understanding of the relevant project specifications and requirements;
• On an ongoing basis, monitor all works against specifications to ensure the quality and accuracy of work performed is as per company standards;
• Notify the Line Manager of any defects, mistakes, errors, contamination or variations identified;
• Ensure all the applicable quality checklists are properly completed.
Cross Functional Support/Training:
• Set direction and objectives for team members and ensure achievement of their development plans, including recruitment, development and mentoring;
• Works closely with internal project stakeholders assigned to resolve any project risks associated with contracts, documentation & execution;
• Identify & address problems and opportunities; brings those which are appropriate to the General Manager / Line Manager and facilitates discussion & deliberation;
• Assist the Line Manager in preparing a rolling manpower plan for 12 months and justify needs for additional resources.

For Our Client, international rapidly growing engineered solutions provider: we are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of:

Quantity Surveyor in Saudi Arabia
Ref. No: QS_Saudi Arabia_2019

Location: Saudi Arabia, Jeddah
Reports to: Commercial Manager - Ground Water Control Department (Commercial & Estimation)
Salary Level: ~5800 Euro net (25 000 PLN netto)

Requirements:
EDUCATION Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering is required. Diploma in Surveying or Civil Engineering is also considered with sufficient experience in Quantity Surveying.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
a. Sound knowledge of the principles of Quantity Surveying, and experience in the application of Quantity Surveying techniques.
b. Knowledge and Experience with drafting, reviewing and negotiation Contracts and Sub Contracts.
c. The ability to recognize risk and opportunities within contracts, mitigate against them and/or request variations.
d. Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
e. Experience in project management with an emphasis on working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and managing, assessing and reviewing work of other staff, consultants and contractors;
f. Knowledge of Microsoft applications;
g. Results Orientation, Customer Focus/Service Orientation, Innovative Thinking, Quality Assurance / Attention to Detail;
h. Civil Engineering (Principles of), Numerical Accuracy, Payment Terms, Cost, Quantity Surveying, Method Statements, Project schedules;
i. Methodical way of thinking;
j. Good knowledge of construction;
k. The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years Commercial experience in civil / sub-structure related projects with a leading contractor.

Responsibilities:
• Familiarization and review of all ongoing contracts – highlight key points and produce detailed reports on the Contract, Scope of Works, Responsibilities, Plans and Drawings, Bill of Quantity, Payment Terms, and Submission Requirements (Insurances, Bonds, etc.).
• Take a leading role during Tender stage. Updating the GO-NOGO, Financial Risk, Contract Risk and Project specific risk via the company system (CRM and MCS).
• Take a leading role in Contract and Project reviews.
• Monitor status and accomplishment of payment terms and project costs.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and develop a structured document control process.
• Prepare cost estimates and ensure progressive payment applications.
• Develop systems to monitor cost control for multiple and concurrently running projects.
• Review, package documentation and generate reports to support claims and invoicing for contracts and sub-contract agreements.
• Generate monthly and ad hoc data reports as requested by the Commercial Manager.
• Assist in the evaluation of early warning / compensation events, including provision of documentation on variation claims and arbitration proceedings.
• Review invoices to ensure conformity of billing format, correct scope or coverage, and correct amounts.
• Review and reconcile variances in payments against claim amounts including packaging of supporting documents.
• Assist Site Operations and Finance in sit down / negotiation with the Client to reconcile variance or disputes in claims.
• Assist Site Operations and Finance in reconciliation of final claims including documentation, or packaging of necessary submittals for subcontract close out.
• Site and Client visits as and when needed or directed by the Commercial Manager.
QHSE:
• Make a deliberate effort to gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company’s QHSE Policies and Procedures.
• On an ongoing basis, monitor all works against specifications to ensure the quality and accuracy of work performed meets standard.
• Notify the Line Manager of any defects, mistakes, errors, contamination or variations identified.
• Ensure all the applicable quality checklists are properly completed.

Cross Functional Support/Training:
• Works closely with internal project stakeholders assigned to resolve any project risks associated in bid stage, contract analysis and execution.
• Identify & address problems and opportunities; brings those which are appropriate to the Line Manager and facilitates discussion & deliberation.
• Conducting internal training seminars on the latest developments within the Commercial and Contract management sphere.
